When you create or use an account, we may process information such as your email address, account identifier, username, display name, authentication information and account status.

You may choose to provide profile information such as a profile photograph, biography, creator type, location, portfolio, website, creative interests, creator intent and availability.

We also process content you publish, including posts, images, videos, GIFs, documents, captions, comments, reactions and portfolio material.

We may process community activity such as follows, likes, comments, mentions, room participation, invitations and other engagement.

Technical and usage information may include pages visited, interactions with the Service, browser type, referring website, session information, device information, security events and analytics.

We use information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, display profiles, deliver posts and media, operate Feed, Discover, messaging and Live Rooms, enable comments, likes, follows and mentions, help users discover people and creative work, provide public profile pages where enabled, send relevant notifications, prevent spam and abuse, investigate security issues, moderate the Service, improve performance and comply with legal obligations.

If your profile is marked discoverable, CreateFolk may create a publicly accessible profile page such as createfolk.com/people/your-username.

Public pages may be viewed without signing in, shared by other people, indexed by search engines and cached by third-party services.

Changing your discoverability settings may stop future public display through CreateFolk, but search engines and third parties may take time to update their own copies.

Content you publish publicly should be treated as information available to others.

Other people may copy, save, screenshot, embed or redistribute publicly visible information. CreateFolk cannot control copies made independently by third parties.

Direct messages and private rooms are not intended to appear publicly.

They are processed through CreateFolk's infrastructure so they can be transmitted, stored and displayed to participants. Recipients can still copy, download or screenshot communications.

CreateFolk relies on third-party technology providers to operate the Service. These may include providers used for website hosting and publishing, database infrastructure, authentication, file and media storage, server-side functions, email delivery, analytics, GIF/media search, domain and network services.

Current infrastructure may include services such as Framer, Supabase, Resend and GIPHY, among others.

CreateFolk may use analytics to understand visitor numbers, page views, traffic sources, device categories, site navigation, engagement and performance.

CreateFolk and its technology providers may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies where needed for authentication, sessions, security, preferences, functionality and analytics.

CreateFolk may send messages relating to account activity, authentication, direct messages, comments, mentions, invitations, community activity, security and important Service updates.

We may disclose information to service providers operating CreateFolk, when you instruct us to share information, to protect users or platform security, to investigate fraud or abuse, to enforce our Terms, to comply with legal obligations, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or transfer of the Service.

CreateFolk does not sell personal information for money.

CreateFolk and its service providers may operate infrastructure in different countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide CreateFolk, maintain your account, operate community features, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, maintain security and resolve disputes.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs or security systems before being removed through normal retention processes.

CreateFolk may allow you to edit profile information, control profile discoverability, remove posts, change creator intent, manage account information, leave rooms, manage community participation and delete or request deletion of your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent or other rights relating to your personal information.

To exercise a privacy right, contact privacy@createfolk.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

CreateFolk uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls, authentication systems, database security rules, encrypted connections and restricted server credentials.

However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.

CreateFolk is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly permit children under 18 to create CreateFolk accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may remove the account and associated information.

CreateFolk profiles and posts may link to portfolios, social networks, websites, video platforms or other third-party services.

CreateFolk is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent websites you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy as CreateFolk develops. The "Last updated" date will indicate when changes were made.
